MEET DON MORRIS

Don Morris is an award-winning Creative Director and Project Leader known for delivering seamless experiences across all touchpoints.

Don is Principal at Don Morris Design (DMD), an independent design studio excelling in coherent Branding, Digital, Retail, CPG, Print, and E-Commerce design and implementation. DMD is known for design systems, strategy, wit, collaboration, hands-on skills, team building, and inventive storytelling.

Clients include American Express, A&E Networks, Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market, Billboard, Bloomberg, Cisco, Hearst Corporation, IBM, Little, Brown & Co., Meredith Corporation, Nickelodeon, Shake Shack, Smithsonian, Sundance, The Wall Street Journal, and Zappos.

AWARDS & TEACHING

Don Morris has won numerous awards from The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), The Art Director’s Club, Communication Arts, The Type Director’s Club, and The James Beard Foundation. He’s won The National Magazine Award twice, and has won many awards from the Society of Publication Designers (SPD). DMD work is on display in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

He has frequently judged The National Magazine Awards for The American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME), SPD’s annual design, photography, and illustration competitions, and The James Beard Foundation Journalism Awards.

Don has taught art direction and design at Parsons School of Design and School of Visual Arts.
